Any Other NaNoWriMo Participants?
HSPs tend to be creative types, so I just wonder if anyone else is attempting National Novel Writing Month this year (NaNoWriMo)?
It starts November 1 and I've found it to be an extraordinary experience in previous years, filled with creative energy and sensitive, artistic people. Info is at nanowrimo dot org if anyone is interested.

Ooh, chipschap, I really want to try NaNo one day! But probably not this year because I'm a uni student and my end of semester exam is on November 10th - later than normal. :( And then I'm going almost straight into another paper. I have a friend who does it every year, though, and it sounds like lots of fun! Maybe a good way for me to kickstart my writing career, lol. I used to write quite a lot as a child but lost my mojo somewhere along the way...would be good to find it again.
Hope you enjoy it!

Yay NaNoWrimo!
I feel excited to be taking part this year, and I have a friend who has drawn a very detailed map for their fantasy novel.
My planning so far leans towards a comedy/philosophy/erotica combination. I hope to have lots of fun with it. I have a little trick for increasing the word count, too - to substitute all forms of the verb 'to be'. Instead of saying 'This was...' or 'She is...', I will have to write with a more active voice, which (if it goes to plan) will encourage lots more description and detail. *fingers crossed*

Greetings everyone, I'm also a NaNo & FruitCarrier. I will be writing a fantasy novel. Hopefully I'll manage to finish it and have fun during the process.
Wonder who this is, that's exactly what I'm doing!flowerlady wrote:I have a friend who has drawn a very detailed map for their fantasy novel

There's a novel I really enjoyed that I think started as a NaNoWriMo project. Nathan Lowell's Solar Clipper series. I was a real fan. Loved those books.
