... instantly, to any country in the world, without having to worry about the flight or any travel hassles, where would you go and why?

For me, I'd like to be able to 'boop' to the Australia/New Zealand areas, since it is summer there. These countries have been on my radar for a while, but have been logistically difficult, since my vacations are usually in summer (their winter) and the flight is really long and always at night (a problem for those of us who cannot sleep on planes). But if I could 'teleport' there, I would!

How about you?

New Zealand... / Australia it just seems like such a pure untouched place. My friend went to Australia this summer and was just over the moon about it. She said everyone was so kind and funny... and the photos were amazing.

Maybe if it wasn't so hard to get to it the "masses" would come and ruin it.

How about a boat? Kathi-

Kathi you've hit on the perfect method of HSP travel, for me anyway. I am put off by the prospect of long sleepless flights, but I'd love to just blip over to a lot of places. Or boop. Whichever.

Some excellent reasons to visit New Zealand, which does look beautiful. Besides making a little personal visit I'd love to do the hobbit tour. Could someone please do it and post photos and delightful anecdotes? But if I could only pick one spot I might go with Kenya. We sponsor a boy there we're very proud of, now an adult starting college classes. I also would like to visit the wildlife conservancies.

Yes, I think it would be Tanzania to go on a safari and see the Ngrongo Crater and Kilimanjaro. (And stops in South Africa, Malawi and/or Kenya, Victoria Falls etc.) Smile

uv that is really neat that you sponsor a boy!! How rewarding to see him grow up and go to college.

The time travel aspect of it too makes me think of Australia and NZ, two places I really would like to explore and visit and yes because the flight is so long and expensive!! hehe

Okay I guess that is two choices! lol

Well I want to go to the UK especially Yorkshire and Wiltshire where some of my ancestors are from. I think if you just plonked me in York I would know my way around from all the research on the places they are from.
I don't know Wiltshire as well but my family are originally from Lacock which is near Lacock Abbey which is used for film sets. Harry Potter I think was filmed there. Some are also from Avebury where they have spooky things like stone circles and stuff which would be interesting. My favourite show on tv at the moment is Time Team. I would love to dig up old stuff.

Yeah, to anyone who is vaguely serious about coming Down Under one day, I would suggest you visit in February/March, maybe even April if at all possible, when the weather is usually settled. May is still ok, but is starting to get quite cool. Do not ever come in spring (this time of year). The changeable weather would likely drive you mad, as it does me. I can't speak so much for Australia but certainly that's about the size of things in NZ. I would almost recommend winter over spring! IowaRunner came down here in winter and he got some crap weather, but he also got some really nice weather. Cold, but nice.

Where would I go if I could magically transport myself...hmm. Well, of the places I haven't been and want to visit...probably Iceland, actually. Wink As far as flights go it's about as far away from NZ as you can possibly get, and therefore it would be much easier to just suddenly 'be there'! Many years back I knew someone who went there for New Year's (from NZ) and ever since then it's been somewhere I've been curious about. Buckwheat used the word 'untouched' to describe her impression of Australia and NZ - well, that's how I think about Iceland. I lived in the UK for two years but never made it there. :(

Another place I would like teleport to is Jordan. Specifically, Petra. I almost did a tour through that area (from Turkey down to Egypt, via Syria, Lebanon and Jordan) on my way back from the UK, but I had too much luggage to bring home and so decided against it. The area has gotten a lot more dangerous since then, so I kind of regret now that I didn't do it. But that's why I'd like to be able to teleport myself there - so that I could just as quickly teleport out of it if things got dicey! Wink

There are so many other places I want to go in the world (Africa included), but if we're talking about time travel, those would be the two, I think.

Sunflowerpixie, I've been to York (the city) and Wiltshire (including Avebury) and loved both places. I have a friend who lives in Wiltshire so I went to visit her, and then I think I did another driving tour with my cousin later. Beautiful part of England, especially in summer when everything's green and lush. Highly recommend it!

Hi guys. Sorry I have not been able to stop by as much recently. I have been crazy busy at work.

I would want to go to Hawaii or the south pacific. Sunny and 80 degrees F year round would really be nice for me.

Arizona. Four Corners aera.....I have been looking today online how much a vacation house would cost (buy) me there ... Very Happy When I see our pictures and video's tears come in my eyes because I would love to be there and not here.
The beauty and the space.....just great.
Would miss my kids and grandkids to much so I would hop back in about 6 weeks or so.
